Letter 10: World Press Photo

Dear Tim,

     1. Where is Jason going to attend school in January?  What will make this a “shocking”  experience for him?  What should be his new baseball team?
He is going to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It's looking foward to cold, and snow, and ice. For baseball, there are theToronto Blue Jays.
     2. What is Echo’s job while she’s traveling in Europe?  What characters does she play?
She will be skating with the company through about twelve different European countries and doing shows. She plays "Wendy" from "Peter Pan" and "Anna" from "Frozen".
     3. How does Mr. Maher describe Toomevera?
Mr. Maher described Toomevera as their ancestral village, which is a little farming town of about 700 people.

Last Saturday, we had school fair. It was a tiring day. We sold noodles, soup, drink, and face painting again. It was cold on that day. Terefore, we had many buttles of Sprite left.

We went to see " World Press Photo" yesterday. I think it was really a good experience. I seldom watch news on TV. If I watch it, I can only know something about traffic accident, politics, and so on. In this exhibition, I saw many realistic photos all over the world. Many groups of photos are talking about animals, refugees, and some terrible scenes. But there are three photos let me feel impressive. In South Africa, a photographer took the pictures. In those photos, there are buffalos, elephants, and zebras, and behind these animals are the beautiful night sky with many stars.I really want to see this kind of view in person!

Sincerely,
Candy
